The Effects of Mandala Art Therapy Using Active Imagination on the Stress of Adult Women
Cha Hyun-Hee

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to conduct Mandala Art Therapy using Active Imagination for adult women and to see if it is effective in reducing stress. The study subjects were selected as 8 adult women exposed to stress environments. The Mandala Art Therapy Program using active meditation was conducted individually for a total of 10 sessions for 90 minutes twice a week at the psychological counseling center located in Seoul. In order to practice the purpose of this study, stress was measured through BES-2000, an objective EEG test tool, and the change in stress reduction through EEG measurement was confirmed. As for the timing of the test, a pre-test was conducted two weeks before the active meditation mandala art treatment program, and a post-test was conducted two weeks after the program was terminated. Looking at the results of the study, it was confirmed that the participants' stress decreased after participating in the Mandala Art Therapy Program using active meditation. The significance of this study is that it was verified that the Mandala Art Therapy program using active meditation had an effect on stress reduction through an objective EEG verification method. The limitation of this study is that the study subjects are limited to a small number of adult women, and it is somewhat unreasonable to generalize this study due to limitations such as region, age, and number of participants. In a follow-up study, it would be good to check whether the Mandala Art Therapy program using active meditation also affects the positive functions of the brain (memory, etc.)
